Brightfield, the workforce data network and analytics platform, has raised $53M in Series A funding from investors that include Sapphire Ventures, MissionOG, CapitalOne Growth Ventures, and Telescope Partners. Brightfield was founded by Christopher Minnick and Jason Ezratty in 2006. In the SEC filing, which listed a total offering of $118.8M, it indicates it reveals the company received $65.6M worth of stock in a nameless company in exchange for stock.

Founded by Alex Vayl, Jonathan Sullivan, and Kris Beevers in 2013, NS1 has now raised a total of $78.4M in reported equity funding.

The filing indicates that thirteen investors participated in this round with a total offering of $5M. ChartHop was founded by Ian White in 2018. Fraud.net, the fraud prevention platform, has raised $2.3M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $7.8M and this close comes from seven investors. Founded by Whitney Anderson and Cathy Ross in 2013, Fraud.net had previously raised a total of $2.2M in reported equity funding.

The filing indicates that there were two participants in this round. Investors in previous rounds include Techstars and Right Side Capital Management. Founded by Jamie Davidson and Patrick Vatterott in 2017, Vitally has now raised a total of $1.1M in reported equity funding.

Refinery29 has agreed to be acquired by Vice. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed but it’s been reported that the transaction value is around $400M in a combination of stock and cash.
Refinery29 was founded by Christene Barberich, Justin Stefano, Philippe von Borries, and Piera Gelardi in 2005 and had raised a total of $133.4M. Refinery29 had raised it’s last round at a valuation exceeding $450M. Investors in Refinery29 include First Round Capital, Lerer Hippeau, Floodgate, WPP Ventures, Lead Edge Capital, Stripes Group, Quixotic Ventures, Hearst Communications, Scripps Networks, Turner Broadcasting, Ramesh Haridas, Eastern Capital, Eigenvalue, and Jim Yang.
