Eden Health, the employee healthcare platform, has raised $9.6M in additional funding according to a recent SEC filing with fifteen investors participating thus far. The total offering in the filing is for $11M. Founded by Matt McCambridge and Scott L. Sansovich, Jr. in 2016, Eden Health has now raised a total of $13.6M in reported equity funding over two rounds. Investors in previous rounds include Greycroft, Point Judith Capital, Max Ventures, and 645 Ventures.

Carson, the property management solution for unattended buildings and buildings without door people, has raised $3M in funding led by BuildingLink. Founded by Guy Blachman in 2017, Carson has now raised a total of $4M in funding over two rounds.

Arcus, the fintech platform for financial institutions to manage their customer’s liabilities and data, has raised $1.7M in additional funding according to a recent SEC filing. The total offering in the filing is for $2.68M and seven investors participated in this first close. Founded by Edrizio De La Cruz, Inigo Rumayor Belausteguigoitia, and Juan Jose Maldonadoin in 2013 as Regalii, but the company rebranded to Arcus last year. Founded in Y Combinator in 2013, the company has now raised a total of $15.6M in reported equity funding over six rounds. Investors in previous rounds include Y Combinator, FundersClub, Alumni Ventures Group, Kapor Capital, Alexis Ohanian, Total Access Fund, Fenox Venture Capital, Maverick Ventures, Kevin Moore, Winklevoss capital, Capricorn Venture Partners, Investo, Click Ventures, IGNIA, Chestnut Street Ventures, Bill Lee, Select Venture Partners, HOF Capital, Avalancha Ventures, Citizen.VC, GP Ventures, Enlaces, Chilango Ventures, Jared Slosberg, Banco Itau, Jed Cullen, and Tycoon Capital.

Pico, the platform for publishers to engage and monetize their readers through data collection and automation, has raised $1.6M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The total offering amount is for $3.4M and thus far there were seventeen participants in this close. Pico was founded by Jason Bade and Nick Chen in 2016.

Our friends at Primary Venture Partners took a look at the seed stage activity in Q4 in the NYC Q4 Seed Deal Report.


Launched in April 2018, Maude Group is creating products for sexual wellness and it just raised $1.5M in Seed from investors including RRE Ventures, Outbound Ventures, Sriram Krishnan, and Niv Dror. Maude Group was founded by Dina Epstein and Eva Goicochea and it has now raised a total of $2.2M across two rounds.

Trivia app FleetWit has raised an additional $1.4M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates the total offering is for $4M and there have been fifteen participants in this close. Founded by David Metz and Julien Loutre in 2015, Fleetwit has now raised a total of $2.7M in funding over three rounds.

There was no slowdown in startup funding in December. Here’s a look at the top 13 rounds for the last month of 2018.

According to a recent SEC filing, Augustus Intelligence has raised $1.1M in funding out of a total offering of $80M. This first tranche comes from two investors. The filing lists Wolfgang Haupt as an Executive and LinkedIn lists ex-Bertelsmann Music executive Kirsten Glueck as a Founding Partner. The company is described as “Aiming to understand and shape the 4th industrial revolution by leveraging transformational technologies with a sound sense of responsibility”.

Daivergent, the crowdsourced microtask platform that empowers people with autism and disabilities, has raised $950K in funding from investors that include Western Technology Investment, Kapor Capital, New York Angels, Esther Dyson, HBS Alumni Angels, Brian Jacobs, Marc Weill, Ron Lascoe, Ozgen Dogan, and Fiona Dogan. Founded by Byran Dai and Rahul Mahida in 2017, Daivergent has now raised a total of $1.1M in funding. The company is a graduate of the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator program.

East Rockaway-based Xonar Technology, a physical security system that uses machine learning and AI, has raised $500K in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that this portion of the round came from two investors and the total offering amount is $3M. The filing lists Andrea Dulberg, Jeff McFadden, and Ira Rosenblum as Executives and August Nunziata and Hans Hufschmid as both Executives and Directors.
