xtraCHEF, the cost intelligence and accounts payable platform for the hospitality industry, has raised $3M in funding from investors that include Laconia Capital Group, Connectivity Capital Partners, The Howard Sukonick Investment Group, and Ben Franklin Technology Partners. This is the first reported round of funding for the company founded by Andy Schwartz, Bhavik Patel, and Chaz Brown in 2015.
Oscar, in a blog post, announced that it had raised an additional $165M in funding led by Brian Singerman and Founders Fund with participation from 8VC, Verily Life Sciences, Fidelity, General Catalyst, Capital G, Khosla Ventures, and Thrive Capital, among others. Oscar raised $400M in its last round in 2016 at a $2.7B post money valuation and has raised a total of $892.5M over seven funding rounds since its founding in 2013. The company is founded by Joshua Kushner, Kevin Nazemi, and Mario Schlosser.
Dandelion, the provider of geothermal heating and cooling solutions, has raised $4.5M in funding from investors that include New Enterprise Associates, BoxGroup, ZhenFund, Collaborative Fund, Borealis Ventures, Transcendent Holdings, Ground Up Ventures, and Daniel Yates. Founded by James Quazi and Kathy Hannun in 2017, the Dandelion has now raised a total of $6.5M in funding over two rounds.

This NYC Startup Just Raised $4.5M To Disrupt the Way We Heat and Cool Homes
Gorgias, the customer service solution for Shopify stores has raised $1.8M in funding led by SaaStr. Gorgias, founded by Alex Plugaru and Romain Lapeyre in 2015, is a graduate of Techstars NYC and has now raised a total of $3.4M in funding.
According to a recent SEC filing, RealConnex, the networking and business development platform for real estate professionals founded by Roy Abrams in 2012, has raised $6M in funding across two separate funding events.
Brooklyn-based lab automation startup Opentrons has closed $10M in Seed funding led by Khosla Ventures with participation from Lerer Hippeau Ventures, Y Combinator Continuity Fund, and Jeff Kindler. The company founded by Chiu Chau, Nicholas Wagner, and Will Canine in 2013 had previously raised $7.2M in funding in March of 2017.
Electric AI, the outsourced IT staffing platform that built on Slack, has raised $9.25M in Series A funding from investors that include Bessemer Venture Partners, Primary Venture Partners, and Bowery Capital. Founded by Ryan Denehy in 2016, Electric has now raised a total of $11.3M over three rounds.
According to a recent SEC filing, CorpAxe, the research management platform for sellside marketing founded by three former Jefferies executives (Christina Barretto, Ed Byon, and Chris Wong), has raised $500K in funding.
According to a recent SEC filing, MediaMorph, the SaaS platform that helps the media industry manage and track distribution, has raised $4M in additional funding in what appears to be a bridge round. The company previously had raised $44.6M in reported funding with a previous Series C round of $21.1M in the summer of 2016. The company founded by Mike Sid and Shahid Khan in 2007 counts Smedvig Capital, Liberty Global Ventures, Advance Venture Partners, and Motorola Mobility as investors.
Goop, the digital content and commerce destination founded by Gwyneth Paltrow, has raised $50M in Series C funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Goop, founded in 2008, has now raised a total of $75M in funding. The post-money valuation of the company is now $250M after this funding.
According to a recent SEC filing, Ticketchain has raised $800K in a convertible note out of an offering of $1.5M. The filing lists Joshua Katz as an executive.
LetsGetChecked, giving you access to laboratory testing from the privacy of your home raised $12M in Series A funding from Qiming Venture Partners, Elkstone Capital Partners and Optum Partners. This is the first round for founder Peter Foley.
Remesh, the company letting you talk with 1 on 1 with a crowd has raised $10M in Series A funding led by General Catalyst and joined in by LionBird. The company has raised $13.8M over 4 rounds.
According to a recent SEC filing, Betaworks Studios, the invite-only membership club and physical space for the entrpreneurial community to gather that has been affectionately dubbed the Soho House for nerds, has raised $3.45M in funding. The filing lists John Borthwick as an Executive and Director, Nisha Dua (BBG Ventures) and Daphne Kwon as Directors, and Julie Zhang and Jonathan Chin as Executives.
