Armed with some data from our friends at CrunchBase, I broke down the 10 largest rounds in New York during the month of August.  I have included some additional information such as industry, round type, investors in the round, and date of funding to further the analysis for the state of venture capital in NYC. Funding in August was quite robust for the summer with over $500M raised. To maintain a focus on tech-enabled startups, real estate and biotech companies were excluded.
