Ocrolus, the automation platform for analyzing financial statements, has raised $4M in Series A funding from investors that include QED Investors, Bullpen Capital, RiverPark Ventures, ValueStream Ventures, and Laconia Capital Group. Founded by Sam Bobley and Victoria Meakin in 2014, Ocrolus has now raised a total of $7.3M in funding over two funding rounds.
Fast casual restaurant chain By Chloe, which has been dubbed the “Vegan Shake Shack, has raised $31M in funding from investors that include Collaborative Fund, Bain Capital, Jason Finger, Paul Appelbaum, and the Kitchen Fund.
Koio, the direct-to-consumer brand offering luxury sneakers, has raised $3M in Series A funding from investors that include Winklevoss Capital, Acton Capital Partners, and Brand Foundry Ventures. Founded by Simon Kinberg and Miles Teller in 2014, Koio, has now raised a total of $4.3M in equity funding.
Aetion, the healthtech analytics and data platform to provide evidence to value-based care, has raised $36M in Series B funding from investors that include New Enterprise Associates, Amgen Ventures, Lakestar, Flare Capital Partners, and Oxeon Partners. Founded by Allon Rauer, Jeremy Rassen, and Sebastian Schneeweiss in 2013, Aetion has now raised a total of $47.6M over two funding rounds.
Ceros, the content platform for marketers and designers to create web content without using code, has raised $11M in Series B funding from investors that include Silicon Valley Bank, Grotech Ventures, CNF Investments, LLC, Sigma Prime Ventures, and Clark Enterprises. Founded by Dominic Duffy and Simon Berg in 2007, Ceros has now raised a total of $27.5M in equity funding over four rounds.
Element, the biometric identity solution, has raised $12M in Series A funding from investors that include MDI Ventures, GDP Venture, Maloekoe Ventures, PTB Ventures, and Central Capital Ventura. Founded by Adam Perold and Yann LeCun in 2012, Element has raised a total of $18M in funding over three funding rounds.
InsightFinder, the company providing predictive analytics raised $2M in Seed funding from Eight Roads Ventures and Propel(X). The company has raised $3.5M over 4 rounds.
Knotel, the coworking operator for companies of 20 to 500 on flexible terms raised $70M in Series B funding from Newmark Knight Frank, Wolfson Group, The Sapir Organization, The Moinian Group and Wainbridge Capital.
Billie, the dollar shave club for women, has raised $6M in Seed funding from investors that include Silverton Partners, Female Founders Fund, and Lakehouse Ventures. The company was founded by Jason Bravman and Georgina Gooley in 2017.
Tentrr, the booking engine for campsites that connects campers with private landowners, has raised $8M in Series A funding from investors that include Great Oaks Venture Capital, Tribeca Venture Partners, Obvious Ventures, and West This is the third round of funding for the company founded by Michael D’Agostino in 2015.
Asian dating app EastMeetEast has raised $4M in a Series A round from investors that include 500 Startups, Mobile Internet Capital, DG Lab Fund, and Asahi Medialab Ventures. Founded by Kenn Ejima and Mariko Tokioka in 2013, EastMeetEast has now raised a total of $8.7M in funding over four funding rounds.
Carbon, the new cryptocurrency that promises stability in price fluctuations due to it being pegged to the US dollar, has raised $2M in funding from investors that include General Catalyst, FirstMark, and Digital Currency Group. Carbon was founded by Connor Lin, Gavin Mai, Miles Albert, and Samuel Trautwein earlier this year.
Say, the platform for open communication between companies and their owners raised a Seed round of $8M lead by Point72 Ventures and joined in by Struck Capital, Core Innovation Capital, Quiet Capital and Lauren Taylor Wolfe. This is the company’s first round of funding.
PsyInnovations, the emotional wellness and behavioral health startup has raised an undisclosed amount in a Venture round led by Brand Capital. This is the second round for the company.
Kadena, delivering private distributed ledger technology to industry, raised $12M in Venture funding from Susquehanna International Group, SV Angel, Asimov Ventures, Devonshire Investors and Multicoin Capital. This is the company’s third round of funding.
