Andie, the direct to consumer one piece swimwear brand founded by Melanie Travis and Tess De Paula in 2016, has raised $2M in seed funding led by Joshua A. Kazam.

This NYC Startup Just Raised $2M to Offer Swimsuits that Fit So Well You Can Buy Them Online


Mark43, the software platform for law enforcement to manage and collect information, has raised $38M in Series C funding from investors that include Goldman Sachs, General Catalyst, Spark Capital, Bezos Expeditions, Sound Ventures, Breyer Capital, and David Petraeus. Founded by Flo Mayr, Matt Polega, and Scott Crouch in 2012, Mark43 has now raised a total of $77.8M in funding over five funding rounds.

 


cheddar, the online video news network, has raised $22M in Series D funding from investors that include Lightspeed Venture Partners, Goldman Sachs, Comcast Ventures, Amazon, Raine Ventures, AT&T, Ribbit Capital, Dentsu Ventures, Liberty Global, New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Altice USA, Antenna Group, and 7 Global Capital. Founded by Jon Steinberg in 2016, cheddar has now raised a total of $54M in funding over four funding rounds.

 


Eden Health, the digital health management platform, has raised $4M in Seed funding from investors that include Greycroft, 645 Ventures, and Max Ventures.

This NYC Startup Just Raised $4M To Give Employers a Personal Health Platform

 


CoEdition, a new site focused on apparel for women sized 10-26, has announced $4M in Seed funding led by NEA with participation from General Catalyst, Primary Venture Partners, and BBG Ventures. The site is founded by former Gilt executives including Kevin Ryan.

 


CommonBond, the student loan lending platform, has raised $50M in Series D funding from investors that include August Capital, Nyca Partners, Tom Glocer, Vikram Pandit, Fifth Third Capital, Neuberger Berman Group, First Republic Bank, and Columbia Seligman Investments. Founded by David Klein, Jessup Shean, and Michael Taormina in 2011, CommonBond has now raised a total of $128.7M in equity funding and another $675M in debt.

 


Burrow, the modular, direct-to-consumer couch company, has raised $14M in Series A funding led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA) with participation from Correlation Ventures, Red & Blue Ventures, and Y Combinator Continuity. For Burrow founders Kabeer Chopra and Stephen Kuhl, this brings the company’s total reported funding raised to $18.3M over two rounds

 


Crowdsourced online platform for fraud prevention for merchants, Fraud.net that was founded by Whitney Anderson in 2013, has raised $2.2M in funding according to a recent SEC filing.

 


Hungryroot, the ecommerce startup that delivers healthy packaged food to your door, has raised $22M in Series B funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. Founded by Benjamin McKean, Franklin Becker, and Gregory Struck in 2015, Hungryroot has now raised a total of $35.4M in funding over four rounds.

 

 


On demand aviation service BLADE has raised $38M in Series B funding from investors that include Lerer Hippeau, LionTree Partners, Airbus Group, and Colony Northstar. Founded by Rob Wiesenthal and Steve Martocci in 2014, BLADE has now raised a total of $44M in reported funding.

 


Amper Music, the AI-driven music composer, has raised $4M in additional funding from investors that include Foundry Group, Horizons Ventures, Advancit Capital, Two Sigma Ventures, and KiwiVenture Partner. This brings the total funding raised to $9M for the company founded by Drew Silverstein and Sam Estes in 2014.
