Joshua Ruch has over 30 years of experience in private equity and is currently the Managing Partner at Rho Capital Partners and Rho Ventures, which he co-founded in 1981. He also serves on the Investment Committee of Rho Fund Investors.

His investing philosophy is simple: that the human factor, common to all investment sectors, is the single most important determinant for successful investment outcomes. He most enjoys interacting with, supporting and mentoring his investment companies’ management teams.
Ruch serves on the Board of Visitors of the Duke University School of Medicine and as a trustee of Second Stage Theatre and the American Friends of Beit Issie Shapiro, and has worked as a Director at Fractal Systems, a Director at Convey Computer and a Director at Afina Energy.
Ruch received a B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology – and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
