We keep you abreast of the things that you may have missed in NYC Tech News for the week ending 9/14 including the NYC startup fundings, NYC startup exits, and NYC startup events featuring news for SplxAI, Minerva BI, and much, much more.


Nirvana Health – $24.2M

Nirvana Health, a healthcare benefit verification platform that simplifies patient benefit eligibility, has raised $24.2M in Series A funding led by Northzone. Founded by Akshay Venkitasubramanian, Kelvin K Chan, and Urvish Parikh in 2020, Nirvana Health has now raised a total of $39.4M in reported equity funding.


Protege – $10M

Protege, an AI training data platform, has raised $10M in Seed funding led by CRV. Protege was founded by Bobby Samuels and Travis May in 2024.


Minerva BI – $7.5M

Minerva BI, a stealth startup that uses AI to predict human behavior, has raised $7.5M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $8.1M and lists Phineas Barnes of The General Partnership as a Director. Minerva BI was founded by Jackson Engles and Daniel Saedi in 2023.

Mother Games – $5M

Mother Games, a gaming studio forcosed on next-gen titles that incorporate 3D worlds and consciousness into the experience, has raised $5M in Pre-Seed funding led by BoxGroup. Mother Games was founded by Kelsey Falter and Raissa Chagas in 2023.


Acai Travel – $2.5M

Acai Travel Inc., an automation platform to optimize operations for travel businesses, has raised $2.5M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $3.3M and there were three investors in this close. Acai Travel was founded by Ricardo Vittoria and Henry Chen Weinsten in 2023.


SplxAI – $2M

SplxAI, an automated security testing platform for AI chatbots, has raised $2M in Venture funding led by South Central Ventures, Runtime Ventures, and Inovo.vc. SplxAI was founded by Ante Gojsalic and Kristian Kamber in 2024.
