There’s no need to wait until the end of the year to declare that this has been the best decade in the history of New York City in terms of venture capital funding raised.
Armed with some data from our friends at CrunchBase, I broke down the largest NYC Startup funding rounds in New York during the last decade. I have included some additional information such as industry, description, round type, total equity funding raised to further the analysis for the state of venture capital in NYC. In order to maintain a focus on tech-enabled startups, rounds for real estate, biotech, lending, financing, and energy companies were not included. Only equity rounds were considered.
