38 companies came from all over the globe to compete in Empire Startups Summit Speed Pitch Competition November 10th-11th for the 10 coveted semi-finalist spots – and chance to win $10,000 in seed funding.

Not bad for a day’s pitch and if only it were that simple. And easy.

 

Here are the ten companies who presented to investors at the Empire Startup Summit Finals…


anchorID

Anchor ID

AnchorID, Inc. is a digital identity company that allows consumers to use one universal login, combined with smartphone authentication, to access sites across the web. It’s goodbye passwords – hello, AnchorID!

The company won Best in Show at Finovate Fall 2014

 


clausematch

ClauseMatch

ClauseMatch is a cloud platform for negotiation and management of smarter contracts. ClauseMatch enables a parallel negotiation process that will reduce the contract cycle by up to 50%, and the dashboard allows you to see all your current negotiations at a glance.

The team won the BBVA Open Talent 2014 Europe contest for the New Banking and Digital Life categories.

Nexercise

Nexercise is an app that gives you guided workouts you can do anywhere, anytime, without equipment, in as little as 5 minutes! So you don’t have to change your lifestyle to be healthy.

Socure

Socure is an identity fraud protection software that provides social biometric solutions to validate a person’s identity by analyzing their largely public track record of Internet usage to protect against identity fraud.

The company was a winner is the 2014 North America and Rest of World BBVA Open Talent Awards in the New Banking category.

Triton Research

Triton Research provides bespoke venture intelligence, with a team of investors and advisors who have expertise in analyzing financial data – and who also have significant new media product and operating experience. Most of the company’s insights come from the non-obvious relationships between operations and financials.

AudioSnaps

AudioSnaps is a photo app that allows users to capture five seconds of sound at the same time that they take a picture is taken. The recorded sound is embedded inside a standard JPEG file, compatible with all existing devices.

Sound seems to make all the difference: Launched in January, they’re already a Sony Premium Partner and Wired called them one of the hottest startups in Europe.

Market IQ

Market IQ is a patented predictive analytics platform focused on providing actionable, real-time intelligence, culled from Unstructured and Structured data, to help clients make better business decisions. So they’re taking social sentiment and turning it into predictive analytics.

Clients include NASDAQ, Instanet, Barclay’s and Dow Jones.

And without missing a beat, when tripping while exiting the stage, the Market IQ cofounder commented, “I should have predicted that.”

 


bespoke atelier

Bespoke Atelier

Bespoke Atelier is a standalone app for the iPad that allows users to find, save and share information. “We believe that mobile has left the browser behind,” said founder and CEO Michele Spiezia.

The New York-based company launched just recently.

 


insightmedi

InsightMedi

InsightMedi is a photo-sharing network for the healthcare community. It captures images via mobile and there are editing tools to protects a patient’s privacy, and to remove sensitive information before the photo goes live and is shared in the medical community. It’s also HIPAA compliant.

 


transfergo

Transfergo

Transfergo was on the money and swept the $10,000 Prize.

Seriously. They were on the money. With their ability to do international transfers money quickly, Transfergo is one of the fastest growing startups in Europe, and they do it by dealing with local banks, rather than to cross borders and incur additional fees. Not only is the money available by the next day – they also make transferring money 10x cheaper. Yup, that’s a winner!
