We are now in the age of entrepreneurism. How can we be sure? For starters, more than half of millennials consider themselves to be one. What does this mean?
According to a whopping 90% of the people polled for this new infographic from ODESK, it means that these “entrepreneurs” consider themselves risk-taking, self-starting and visionary opportunity seekers—not necessarily company starters. They are convinced that entrepreneurialism is a state of mind, and 72% say that they wish to quit their day jobs and work independently—and 61% say that they’re likely to quit within the next two years. Not surprisingly, a desire for greater freedom is the chief motivation for the exodus, with 92% of would-be entrepreneurs claiming liberty to choose where they work as being very important.
