Billie, the subscription women’s shaving and grooming company, has agreed to be acquired by Procter and Gamble (P&G). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “We’re thrilled by the prospect of joining P&G to bring high-quality products at affordable prices to women around the world. Their ability to create global household brands that have stood the test of time is a testament to their brand-building expertise; together, we’ll be able to create an even stronger brand for womankind,” remarked Georgina Gooley, cofounder of Billie.

Founded in 2017 by Gooley and Jason Bravman, Billie had raised $35M in reported equity funding. Investors in the company include Greycroft, Silverton Partners, XRC Labs, Female Founders Fund, Serena Ventures, Beta Bridge Capital, Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing, Align Ventures, and Lakehouse Ventures. Bravman and Gooley will continue to lead Billie according to a release. AlleyWatch covered Billie’s launch back in 2017 and subsequent funding rounds.
