Clarifai, the providers of advanced recognition system for visual searches, has raised $30M in Series B funding led by Menlo Ventures with participation from Union Square Ventures and Lux Capital. Founder Matthew Zeiler has raised $40M over just 2 rounds.

Lively, the high quality women’s wear company, has raised $4M in Seed funding from Harvey Sanders, Gelmart International, GGV Capital. This is founder Michelle Cordeiro Grant’s first round of funding for the company.

Uplevel Security, the cybersecurity aggregate, has raised $2.5M in Seed funding from First Round and Aspect Ventures for the company’s first round.

Hubble Contacts, the ecommerce business selling you contacts, has raised $3.7M in Seed funding from Eric Stromberg, Oscar Salazar, Brian Levy, Wildcat Capital Management, Two River, Greycroft Partners and Founders Fund. The company has raised $7.2M in 2 rounds.

OpenSponsorship, the company connecting athletes with sponsorships, has raised $1.1M in Seed funding from Kirat Anand, Tanveer Ali, Steve Bennett, Peter Kellner, 500 Startups, Gelt VC, Rosecliff Ventures and Radiant Venture Capital. This is the company’s second round of funding.

Following the hiring of Jesse Middleton as a partner, our friends at Flybridge Capital are furthering expanding the NYC team with the hiring of Kendall Sherman. Sherman will serve as the community manager and oversee the community programs for the portfolio and entrepreneurial ecosystem in NYC.

Brickwork, the company creating the path between online browsing and in-store purchasing, has raised $5M in Series A funding led by Safegaurd Scientifics with participation from Forerunner Ventures, Cowboy Ventures, Beanstalk Ventures, Advancit Capital, Recruit Strategic Partners.

Cirina, the company detecting cancer early, has raised $12M in Series A funding for the company’s first round.

The Northeast Clean Energy Council selected ACRE, the city’s incubator and hub for smart cities, smart grid, and clear energy as the startup support of the year.  “This award is an important milestone for ACRE, the Urban Future Lab as well as the entire Tandon Incubator network,” said Kurt Becker, vice dean for research, innovation and entrepreneurship. “Our startup support model is shaping tech ecosystems throughout the city and the region. This award acknowledges what we’ve accomplished and encourages us to further leverage technology in service to society.”

IrisVR, the company letting you interact with VR, has raised $8M in Series A funding from Locke Mountain Ventures, Morningside Group, Azure Capital Partners, Valar Ventures, Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Indicator Ventures and Emergence Capital Partners.

OnTarget Technologies, the company transforming your construction data into plans, has raised a Seed round from Peter Hsing, MetaProp NYC, Acceleprise and Unshackled Ventures for the company’s first round.

DemystData, the company unlocking financial services, raised $7M in Series B funding led by MissionOG with help from SingTel Innov8 and Notion Capital. The company has raised total of $12M over 4 rounds.

Wochit, the quick video creation platform, has raised $13M in their Series C round led by ProSieben with participation from Marker, Cedar Fund and Redpoint. The company has raised $28.65M over 3 rounds.
