Exo, the cricket flour based energy bar, has raised $4M in a Series A round led by AccelFoods with support from Collaborative Fund, Start Garden, Amelia Boone, Nas and Tim Ferris. This is the second round of funding for the founders Greg Sewitz and Gabi Lewis.

MedCPU, the real-time patient care advice platform, has raised a $35M Venture round from Easton Capital and Merk Global Health Innovation Fund. This is the fifth round for founders Eyal Ephrat and Sonia Ben-Yehuda.

Ribbit.me, the loyalty based blockchain supporter, has raised a Seed round of $1.5M from the Hayaat Group. This is founder Gregory Simon’s first round of funding.

Hungryroot, the company producing convenient farm fresh meals, has raised $3.7M in their Series A round. Investors in the round included KarpReilly, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Crosslink Capital, Lerer Hippeau Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Blippar the leading image recognition platform, has raised $54M in a Series D round from investor Khazanah Nasional Berhad. This brings the company’s total amount funded to $99M.

Eight, the smart bed cover that tracks your sleep, has raised Seed funding of $6M. Investors included Galvanize Ventures, StartX, Vast Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Cota Capital, Azure Capital Partners, YUNQI PARTNERS, Y Combinator, FundersClub, Varsity Ventures, and Soma Capital.

Landit, the playbook centered around women’s careers, has raised $2M in Seed funding from New Enterprise Associates, Cue Ball Capital, XFund and Female Founders Fund. Founder Lisa Skete Tatum is a former VC.

LOLA, the modern approach to feminine care, has raised a Seed round of $3M lead by Lerer Hippeau Ventures. Other investors include Jonathan Neman, Nathaniel Ru, Nicolas Jammet, Andrew Hunt, Expansion Venture Capital, David Gilboa, Jeffrey Raider, Neil Blumenthal, Nicolas Jammet, Seth Berkowitz, 14W, Vayner/RSE, BoxGroup, and BBG Ventures.

The device that lets you communicate without phone service, goTenna, has raised $7.5M in Series A funding led by Walden Venture Capital with participation from BBG Ventures, Howard Finkelstein, Kenneth Horowitz, Wareness.io, Bloomberg Beta, and MentorTech Ventures.

Atlas Obscura, the travel guide for hidden gems, has raised a $2.5M Venture round from the New York Times and New Atlantic Ventures. This is the second round for founders Joshua Foer and Dylan Thuras.

RentMoola, the company that allows you to pay rent with your cards, has raised a $5M Venture round from Conservice. This is the first round of funding for the company.

Defense Mobile, the mobile service for the army, has raised $3.44M in Debt Financing. The company has raised $35M to date.
