KAI-ISPYT, the intuitive learning platform, has raised a Seed round of $700K. For the founders Volodymyr Nazarenko, Natalia Nazarenko and Mikhyilo Nazarenko,e this is their second round of funding.

Accern, the company producing social analytics data streams, has raised an undisclosed amount in an Angel round of funding. For the founders Kumesh Aroomoogan and Anshul Vikram Pandey, this is their first round.

Hometeam, the company providing in-home care to the elder, has announced a Series B round of $27.5M from investors Recruit Strategic Partners, IA Ventures, Lux Capital and Oak HC/FT. The Company has raised $38.5M over 2 rounds thus far.

JW Player, the advanced media player, has raised $20M in a Series D round led by Greycroft Partners and support from e.ventures, Cue Ball and Greenspring Associates. CEO Dave Otten has raised $45.6M over 4 rounds to date.

Flatiron Health, the healthtech company improving cancer care, has raised $175M Series C round led by Roche with help from Casdin Capital, Baillie Gifford and Allen & Company. Founders Zach Weinberg and Nat Turner have raised a total of $313M over 3 rounds.

Exosome Diagnostocs, the Biotech company diagnosing blood samples, has raised $60M in a Series B. Investors include, Blue Ridge Capital, Tiger Management Corporation, Arcus Ventures, Qiagen, NGN Capital and Forbion Capital Partners.

Kathleen Warner joined the New York Economic Development Cooperation this week as an Executive Vice President who will head the Center for Economic Transformation.  Kathleen was a member of the founding team and COO of Startup America.  She previously worked in government, working with Congressman Himes in addition to roles at Bear Stearns and Inspire Ventures.

The Big Data company, Sisense, has announced a $50M in a Series D round led by Bessemer Venture Partners with help from Battery Ventures, DFJ, Genesis Partners and Opus Capital. The company has raised $94M over 3 rounds.

Gilt Groupe, the retail ecommerce website, has been acquired by the retailers HBC. The acquisition was for $250M.
