NYC Tech Week in Review – 9/27

We keep you abreast of the things that you may have missed in NYC Tech News for the week ending 9/27 including the NYC startup fundings, NYC startup exits, and NYC startup events featuring news for Capital Rx, Quantbase, Earthmover, Cloudburst Technologies, and much, much more.

Capital Rx – $252M Series F

Healthcare • Pharmacy Benefits

Capital Rx, the full-service pharmacy and health benefits management platform, has raised $252M in Series F funding led by Wellington Management and General Catalyst. Founded by AJ Loiacono, Joseph Alexander, and Ryan Kelly in 2017, Capital Rx has now raised a total of $601M in reported equity funding. The company also announced it is rebranding itself to Judi Health.

Quantbase – $26.8M

Fintech • Investing

Quantbase, a platform that makes data-driven investing accessible with various portfolio types, has raised $26.8M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that there were fifty-six investors in the round. Founded by Allen Calderwood, Som Mohapatra, and Thomas Stewart in 2021, Quantbase has now raised a total of $26.8M in reported equity funding.

ProofPilot – $7.7M

Healthcare • Clinical Trials

ProofPilot, an end-to-end platform for the patient experience aspect of clinical trial management, has raised $7.7M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that there were eighteen investors in the round. Founded by Lochlan McHale and Matthew Amsden in 2014, ProofPilot has now raised a total of $23.4M in reported equity funding.

Earthmover – $7.2M Seed

Climate Tech • Data Platform

Earthmover, a cloud-native tensor data platform for those working with weather, climate and geospatial data, has raised $7.2M in Seed funding led by Lowercarbon Capital. Founded in 2022, Earthmover has now raised a total of $15M in reported equity funding.

Cloudburst Technologies – $7M Series A

Crypto • Intelligence

Cloudburst Technologies, an offchain crypto intelligence platform, has raised $7M in Series A funding led by Borderless Capital. Founded by Evan Kohlmann in 2022, Cloudburst Technologies has now raised a total of $11M in reported equity funding.

Syllo – $5.75M

Legal Tech • AI

Syllo, an AI-powered litigation workspace for attorneys, has raised $5.75M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the round comes from two investors. Founded by Jeffrey Chivers and Theodore Rostow in 2019, Syllo has now raised a total of $15.5M in reported equity funding.

Catena Clearing – $5M Seed

Logistics • Data Infrastructure

Catena Clearing, an API-based data infrastructure platform for the freight and logistics industry, has raised $5M in Seed funding led by Floating Point. Founded by Jeremy Baksht, Mike Goynes, and Travis May in 2024, Catena Clearing has now raised a total of $8M in reported equity funding.

Unit 221B – $5M Seed

Cybersecurity • Threat Intelligence

Unit 221B, a cybersecurity threat intelligence platform, has raised $5M in Seed funding led by J2 Ventures. Founded by Lance James in 2015, Unit 221B has now raised a total of $5M in reported equity funding.

VYLIT – $2.7M Seed

Creator Economy • Social Platform


VYLIT Funding

VYLIT, an adult-friendly creator monetization platform, has raised $2.7M in Seed funding led by Windmill Chain Fund. Founded by Ami Gan and Kailey Magder in 2025, VYLIT has now raised a total of $2.7M in reported equity funding.
