Infinite Reality (iR), the innovation company focused on extended reality and AI technologies, has acquired Obsess, a virtual shopping platform developer. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “Obsess was founded on the belief that it was time to reinvent the outdated e-commerce experience,” remarked Neha Singh, Founder and CEO of Obsess. “We have built a platform that creates the next-generation consumer interface with visually dynamic and interactive experiences that are highly engaging and feel alive. Founded by Daniel Chang and Singh in 2017, Obsess has raised a total of $13.4M in equity funding and is backed by Techstars, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Social Capital, Village Global, Jump Capital, Disney Accelerator, The Venture Reality Fund, TechU Ventures, Great Wave Ventures, WXR Fund, and others. Obsess developed a platform that has launched over 400 highly visual, discovery-driven 3D digital stores and experiences for global brands such as Ralph Lauren, L’Oréal, Crate & Barrel, and Disney Music Group. As part of the acquisition, Singh will join Infinite Reality as Chief Innovation Officer.

The acquisition comes after Infinite Reality’s recent $3B fundraising round. The company has been expanding aggressively through strategic acquisitions, having completed multiple deals in 2024 totaling approximately $800M. Infinite Reality is backed by prominent investors including RSE Ventures, Liberty Media, Lux Capital, MGM, CAA, T-Mobile Ventures, and Live Nation.
