What inspired the start of World Class Health?
Siddharth Nambiar‘s (cofounder) experience at Amazon Health, where he led global initiatives across Europe, the Middle East, India, Japan, and Latin America, exposed him to the stark contrast between high-cost, high-quality healthcare in some regions and its more affordable, yet equally high-quality counterparts in others. Through his work on Amazon Pharmacy, Amazon Clinic, and strategic investments like Fitterfly and partnerships with Apollo Pharmacy, Sid saw the undeniable gap in care accessibility and affordability.
Simultaneously, I had 20 years of experience in healthcare and repeatedly encountered the same barriers to care: affordability and access. These systemic challenges fueled my desire to break down the barriers to healthcare, ultimately leading me to champion the creation of World Class Health. Both Sid and I recognized the pressing need for a solution that would improve healthcare outcomes by focusing on better access to care, reduced medical debt, and top 1% quality— principles that form the foundation of World Class Health today.

What market does World Class Health target and how big is it?
World Class Health primarily targets global employers with large, geographically diverse workforces. These organizations face complex challenges in delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to their employees across multiple regions.
The market opportunity is substantial. In the U.S. alone, employer healthcare spending exceeds $800B annually, driven by rising costs and inefficiencies in the current system. Beyond the U.S., the global market presents significant additional opportunities, as multinational employers seek solutions that balance affordability, accessibility, and quality care for their employees worldwide.
By addressing these needs with innovative, value-driven healthcare solutions, World Class Health is well-positioned to transform how employers manage healthcare delivery, reduce costs, and improve both experience and outcomes for their employees.
What’s your business model?
World Class Health operates on a B2B model, focusing on self-funded employers seeking innovative solutions to manage healthcare costs and improve outcomes. Revenue is generated through subscription fees for access to the concierge health benefit, as well as shared savings achieved by significantly reducing overall healthcare expenses. This model aligns the company’s success with its ability to deliver tangible value for its clients.
How are you preparing for a potential economic slowdown?
An economic slowdown that reduces corporate profits and results in increased shifting of healthcare costs to employees increases the value proposition and necessity of World Class Health. With fewer dollars available to spend on healthcare, international solutions that are both cost-effective and high-quality become increasingly important.
What was the funding process like?
The funding process was highly efficient, driven by the founding team’s deep connections within the investor community and the clarity of the company’s value proposition. The solution directly addresses pressing employer pain points, such as rising costs and employee dissatisfaction with traditional healthcare. This alignment resonated strongly with investors, streamlining the path to securing financial backing.
