Jared Hecht – Union Square Ventures
Jared Hecht has joined Union Square Ventures as a Venture Partner with a present interest in self-directed healthcare, consumer fintech applications, and marketplaces. Hecht previously founded Fundera (acquired by NerdWallet) and GroupMe (acquired by Microsoft) and has angel-invested in over 80 companies including Sweetgreen, TransferWise, and Flatiron Health.
Work-Bench Promotions
Work-Bench, the enterprise-focused early-stage venture firm, has promoted Kelley Mak to General Partner. Mak first joined the firm as an Associate in 2016. Priyanka Somrah and Daniel Chesley were both promoted to Principal at the firm as well.
LDV Capital – Fund IV $31M
LDV Capital, the early-stage venture firm focused on visual technologies and artificial intelligence, has closed its fourth fund at $31M. Founded by Evan Nisselson in 2012, LDV has backed companies like Synthesia, Clarifai, Uizard, Ezra, CIONIC, Gryps and more. The firm closed its Fund III in 2021 at $24M.
Rachel Pavey – Primary Venture Partners
Rachel Pavey has joined Primary Venture Partners as a Senior Associate with a focus on fintech and enterprise software. Pavey was previously an investor at Speedinvest in London and Greycroft in New York. She started her career in investment banking at Bank of America.
Cade Ventures – Fund I Filing
Ryan Engel, a Peloton executive and angel investor in companies like Bolt, Ro, Latch, 10Beauty, Parsley Health, and Candid, is launching a new venture fund, Cade Ventures, according to a recent SEC filing. The filing does not include a total offering amount.
Raquel Scott – SemperVirens Venture Capital
Raquel Scott has joined SemperVirens Venture Capital as an Investor with a focus on fintech, healthcare, and workforce solutions. Scott was previously an investor at Harlem Capital Partners and BBG. She started her career in investment banking at JP Morgan.
Abby Meyers – Bain Capital Ventures
Abby Meyers of Bain Capital Ventures has been promoted to Principal from Investor. Meyers is mainly focused on investing in growth-stage application software companies in both the US and Europe
