Modalyst, a supplier marketplace and dropshipping platform for e-commerce businesses, has been acquired by website builder Wix to integrate into its omnichannel e-commerce solutions for online merchants. Founded in 2012 by Alain Miguel and Sherman, Modalyst is backed by investors that include MassChallenge, New York Angels, Wakestream Ventures, and Sapna Shah. Modalyst has been integrated into Wix’s App Market for two years and Wix Capital, Wix’s strategic venture farm has previously made an investment in Modalyst. Both Sherman and Miguel will join the Wix team.
