WPVIP, the provider of enterprise WordPress solutions and a part of the Automattic (parent company to WordPress) brand has agreed to acquire Parse.ly, a real-time content analytics provider and personalized recommendation engine. Founded by Andrew Montalenti and Kamdar in 2009, Parse.ly had raised a total of $12.9M in reported equity funding. Investors in the company include FundersClub, ff Venture Capital, Dreamit Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Grotech Ventures, Daniel Curran, Jaffray Woodriff, DTRIBE Capital, Don Hutchison, Scott Becker, Felton Group, Jeffrey Greenblatt, Jonathan Axelrod, and The New Republic Fund. Both Kamdar and Montalenti have joined the WPVIP team.
