Content Analytics Platform Parse.ly Acquired by WPVIP

WPVIP, the provider of enterprise WordPress solutions and a part of the Automattic (parent company to WordPress) brand has agreed to acquire Parse.ly, a real-time content analytics provider and personalized recommendation engine.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “We’ve always had deep admiration for WPVIP’s market position as the gold standard for enterprise content teams, and we’re thrilled to be able to join together,” said Sachin Kamdar, CEO and Cofounder of Parse.ly. “From the culture and people, to the product, market and vision, we’re in lockstep to create more value for our customers. This powerful combination of content and intelligence will push the industry forward at an accelerated pace.”

Founded by Andrew Montalenti and Kamdar in 2009, Parse.ly had raised a total of $12.9M in reported equity funding. Investors in the company include FundersClub, ff Venture Capital, Dreamit Ventures, Blumberg Capital, Grotech Ventures, Daniel Curran, Jaffray Woodriff, DTRIBE Capital, Don Hutchison, Scott Becker, Felton Group, Jeffrey Greenblatt, Jonathan Axelrod, and The New Republic Fund. Both Kamdar and Montalenti have joined the WPVIP team.
