BlockFi, the financial services provider that focuses on crypto-backed assets, has raised $30M in Series B funding from investors that include led by Valar Ventures with participation from Morgan Creek Digital, PJC, Akuna Capital, CMT Digital, Avon Ventures, Castle Island Ventures, Purple Arch Ventures, Kenetic Capital, Winklevoss Capital, Arrington XRP Capital, and Hong Kong-based HashKey Capital. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $15M and that there were seven investors in this close. Confirmed investors in previous rounds include Accel, Greycroft, and Advancit Capital. Founded by Jannick Malling, Matt Kennedy, Peter Quinn, and Sean Hendelman in 2015, Public.com has now raised a total of $17.1M in reported equity funding. The company was previously known as Matador.
