Coding bootcamp Full Stack Academy has been acquired by higher education company Bridgepoint Education in a transaction that has a potential value of approximately $50M. The terms of the deal include $17.5M in cash along with 2.5M shares of Bridgepoint, which is currently trading at $6.74 as of this writing (an additional $16.85M).

The filing indicates that the total offering is for $10M and there were eleven participants in this close. Founded by Benjamin Cohen in 2012, T-REX had previously raised $9.5M in equity funding prior to this round from investors that include Safeguard Scientifics, Elemental Excelerator, Partnership Fund for New York City, Clean Pacific Ventures, Ecosystem Integrity Fund, and innogy Ventures.

According to a recent SEC filing, messaging platform Teckst has raised an additional $3.1M in funding. The filing indicates that there were seventeen participants in the round. Teckst was founded by Ji Young Choi and Matthew Tumbleson in 2014 and had previously raised $5M in reported equity funding.

The filing indicates that there were fifteen participants in the round. Brooklyn-based Concert Finance was founded by Bryan Wilson, Kartik Agarwal, and Sanj Sanampudi in 2017 and is a graduate of the 2018 Techstars NYC summer accelerator program.

Sobriety community Tempest has raised an additional $1.5M in funding according to a recent SEC filing. The filing indicates that the total offering is for $2M and three parties participated in this close. Listed in the filing is Holly Whitaker as a Director and Executive and Jeff De Flavio has a Director. Tempest had previously raised $1.8M in January of 2018.
