Today, I take a look at the state of venture capital and seed funding during the month of August nationally. Analyzing some publicly available data from our friends at CrunchBase, we break down the aggregate statistics for all funding deals by stage of funding (Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C+) including mention of notable rounds.

Startup funding was exceptionally nationally for the month of October with nearly $9B being invested. Number of deals increase over 50% from September levels and funding was particularly strong for Series B fundings with aggregate funding exceeding $2B. Series A funding was also robust with over $1B invested into companies across the spectrum.
