Today, I take a look at the state of venture capital and angel funding during the month of September in New York. Analyzing some publicly available data from our friends at CrunchBase, we break down the aggregate statistics for all funding deals by stage of funding (Seed, Series A, Series B, and Series C+) including mention of notable rounds.

30 Second Takeaway:

Coming off the greatest month for NYC startup funding in history, total funding remained exceptionally strong with over $1.4B raised during the month of September, up close to 130% from September 2017 levels, driven by late-stage financings for Compass and UiPath.   Series A activity was notable strong thanks to unusually large A rounds for Ro and Cargo.
