WorkRails, the software that is making it easy to run a business, has raised $2.3M in Seed funding led by Boldstart Ventures with participation from Lattice Ventures, BoxGroup and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. This is the company’s first round of funding.
Noodle Partners, the edtech company creating new educational certificates, has raised $4M in a Venture round for the company’s first round of funding. Investors included 500 Startups, New Markets Venture Partners and Osage Partners.
Everwise, the new talent development model has raised $16M in Series B funding led by Sequoia with participation from Webb Investment Network and Canvas Ventures. The company has raised $26.35M over 4 rounds.
Brami, the ancient bean repurposed into a modern snack, has raised $1.5M in Seed funding led by AccelFoods, Enlightened Capital and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. This is the company’s first round of funding.
mParticle, the startup providing data solutions, has raised $17.5M in Series B funding led by Bain Capital Ventures with participation from Social Capital. The company has raised $37M over 4 rounds.
PlaceIQ, the proximity marketing company, has raised a new undisclosed round of funding from Alibaba. Over the company’s 6 rounds, founders Steven Milton and Duncan McCall have raised nearly $52M.
TouchBistro, the iPad based POS system, has raised $13M in Series B funding from Huff Capital, Relay Ventures, Kensington Capital Partners Limited, Round13 Capital and BDC IT Venture Fund. The company has raised $23.27M over 4 rounds of funding.
Hooch, the membership that gives you a free drink every night, has raised their second seed round for $1.5M from Len Blavatnik, Blue Scorpion Investments, Chris R. Burch, Russell Simmons and Shaun White. Founders Lin Dai and Jared Christopherson have raised $2.75M to date.
