The New York Digital Health Accelerator (NYDHA), a program run by the Partnership Fund for New York City and the New York eHealth Collaborative, is wrapping up its five month program today with presentations at its annual demo day from six early and growth stage health tech companies. These startups have built technology products for healthcare providers and patients alike; focusing on care coordination, patient engagement, and workflow improvement.
The program, now in its third year, has graduated 15 companies that have gone on to raise a total of $65M in follow on funding. Two graduates were acquired within 6 months of completing the program. Each startup in this year’s class has received $100K in funding and they are set to hit the stage later today.

Parable
Founded by Nathan Ie and Peter Jackson in 2013, Parable is a mobile analytics and monitoring platform for wound care. Patients can use the app to take pictures of wounds that can then be reviewed by a healthcare professional, eliminating the need to for an in person visit. For providers this can result in tremendous cost savings as well as provide a layer of data and analytics for future wound management cases.
TelaDietitian
TelaDietitian is an online nutritional therapy platform that connects registered dietitians with patients. Presently, there are over 100 expert dietitians on the platform that are available for online video consultations at the cost of $29/session.
iVEDix
Founded in 2009, iVEDix is a business intelligence company that allows clinicians to use the platform to better analyze and manage data. The startup’s data visualization platform can be used in a variety of settings including retail, business, IoT in addition to healthcare.
Wellth
Founded by Alec Zopf and Matthew Loper in 2014, Wellth works with healthcare payers to incentivize cost saving behavior changes in patients. The platform can be customized for specific disease management to encourage and foster patients to take preventative action and be compliant with treatment protocols. The resulting cost savings associated with adherence can then be shared with both the payers and patients.
OffTheScale
OffTheScale (OTS) is a health management platform that is shown to stop, slow, and reverse the progression of chronic diseases through preventing and managing obesity. Obesity related healthcare costs are over $300B a year in America and Canada and growing at 20% with 66 million Americans over the age of 40 classified as obese. Through an initial intensive 12 week group customized intervention program, integrating continuous engagement, online and in person sessions, community tools, and mobile technologies, OTS puts its users on the path to sustainable lifestyle change.
Dorsata
Founded by Dan Gibson and David Fairbrothers in 2012, Dorsata is platform that allows healthcare professionals to build workflows to streamline processes. Clinicians are able to develop and share defined workflows that are called “Care Pathways” that will allow better decision making, documentation, order entry and refinement of the process along the way integrating collaborative feedback. Prior to the accelerator, the company had previously raised $645K from 1776 Ventures and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
