Gimlet Media, the network of high quality podcasts, has raised $6M in a Series A round of funding. Graham Holdings was the sole investor, raising founders Alex Blumberg and Matthew Lieber’s funding total to $7.5M raised
Backed, the credit score lender, has raised $1.5M in a their Seed round funded by Cyhawk Ventures as well as iAngels.
Lemonade, the first peer to peer insurance carrier, has raised a $13M Seed round led by Sequoia Capital with support from Aleph and Expansion Venture Capital.
SocialFlow, the company that is making social media better for you, has raised a $7.5M Series C round led by Gefinor Capital with help from SoftBank, Rand Capital, Fairhaven Capital Partners and Cayuga Venture Fund. SocialFlow has raised $27.13M over 5 rounds.
The digital media company, Interlude, has raised an $18M Venture by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Intel Capital, Sequoia Capital and Warner Music Group. Founders Yoni Bloch, Barak Feldman and Tal Zubalsky have raised a total of $36.45M over 4 rounds.
Vice Media, the global media company, has raised a Private Equity round of $200M by Disney Interactive. The 22 year-old company founded by Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi has raised $770M to date.
Everwise, the talent development company, has raised $8M in a Series A round by Sequoia Capital, Webb Investment Network and Canvas Ventures. The company has raised $10.35M over 3 rounds.
NowThis, the short form digital producers, has announced a $16.2M Series D round. This round was led by Axel Springer, with help from NBC Universal, SoftBank and Oak Investment Partners.
Tansler, the vacation rental marketplace, has raised $1.3M. This is founder Jeremy Bernard’s second round of funding.
The educational resource base, Boundless, has raised $5M in a Series B funding led by Motorola Solutions Venture Capital and support from Vanedge Capital In-Q-Tel.
CultureIQ, the culture management software company, has raised a $3M Seed led by Lerer Hippeau Ventures with support from Founder Collective, Pritzker Group Venture Capital. Founder Greg Besner has raised 2 rounds to date.
