letgo, the mobile classified apps, has announced a $100M Series A round. The company was founded by Alec Oxenford, the founder of the OLX classifieds platform. The round was funded by Naspers.
Kanvas Labs, who provided an easy way to express creativity, has been acquired by AOL for an undisclosed amount. Over 5 rounds, founders George Otsubo, Greg Bildson, and Vic Singh raised $3.4M in funding.
NewsCred, the company dedicated to better marketing, has announced a Growth Equity round of $42M with participation by FTV Capital, FirstMark Capital, InterWest Partners and Mayfield Fund. For CEO, Shafqat Islam, he has now raised a total nearing $90M in funding.
NYC Mayor’s Office recently announced that it will be using events platform Splash for the Pope’s visit to Central Park on Sept. 25. Splash is founded by Ben Hindman, a 2015 NYC Venture Fellow.
Exosome Diagnostics, the company that develops diagnostics for disease monitoring has announced a $17.6M Series B funding by Forbion Capital Partners, NGN Capital, Arcus Ventures, Tiger Global Management and CD Ventures. CEO James McCullough has now raised a total of $44.7M over 4 rounds.
The financial technology firm, Quovo, has announced $4.75M led by Fintech Collective and followed with multiple Angel investors. Lowell Putnam’s company has now raised nearly $10M.
Boom Shakala, a fantasy gaming platform that allows users to compete in real time, has announced at $1.3M Seed round. The site, still in beta, was founded be Assaf Einat and Stephen Murphy in December of 2014.
