Whether you are an uninhibited extrovert or a proud introvert, everyone has some things they just want to keep private. The reality is, your files are not safe. Your current software is simply not secure enough and while people generally suppress this thought, the people at Venux faced it head on. Their platform is built to provide security and privacy to your unsecure software so that your personal content can actually stay personal. Their mathematically impossible-to-break encryption provides safety for everything from Dropbox to iCloud and even your Google and Sky drives. At the end of the day everyone wants privacy, the only question is why you don’t have Venux yet.
Today, we sit down with Vlad Kruglyansky, CEO, to discuss Venux and the future of digital privacy.
Tell us about the product or service.
Venux is a platform that provides software solutions to anyone that desires digital anonymity and privacy. At the moment, the Venux platform consists of three software solutions aiming to provide secure communication, encryption and management of digital data located locally and on the cloud, and the ability to view and play all major file formats.
How is it different?
The Venux Platform is a P2P system which does not use databases, servers, and does not store user credentials or personal information. All Venux products offer a single sign-on system with the ability to search, share and encrypt files stored locally and on cloud services. The user interface design is simple and intuitive.
What market are you attacking and how big is it?
We will target anybody that does computing, with a particular focus on those who are seeking digital privacy. Anybody who communicates online, stores digital data, and shares information with others is always at risk, and therefore this segment will be the group that will benefit most from the company’s easy-to-use, all-in-one solution for daily computing.
What is the business model?
Venux will employ the pay-as-you-go and add-on business models. Add-ons expand program functionality while bringing additional revenue streams. Venux’s Add-ons are also competitively priced. The pay-as-you-go model gives users the freedom to make purchases only when they need to without any contracts. Customers can freely use the software and satisfied customers lead to word-of-mouth advertising bringing in additional revenue.
What inspired the business?
One can ignore reality but the one cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring the reality. To many people, erosion of privacy and mass surveillance came as surprise when it was blown wide open. Yet, we were aware of this problem years ago and decided to do something about it. Privacy is sacred, millions have died to gain it, and in the digital age we want to protect it as well. This realization gave us a motive to do something about it. The idea turned into a concept, then prototypes were developed which grew into a business.
