Founders Jen Rubio and Stephanie Korey announced that their company Away, has announced a $2.5M Seed Round of funding from 11 investors Accel Partners, Forerunner Ventures, Andrew Deitchman, Andy Dunn, BAM Ventures, Battery Ventures, Brian Lee, Comcast Ventures, Jeff Kearl, Metamorphic Ventures, QueensBridge Venture Partners.
Fit4D, the company changing how we deal with diabetes, has announced a SeriesA funding from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska, Sovereign Health Group and SJF Ventures for an undisclosed amount.
Payoneer, the company that is empowering global commerce, has been funded $50M in a Series E round. Investors Ping An, Nyca Partners, Greylock Partners, Carmel Ventures, Wellington Management and Susquehanna Growth Equity did the funding for Ben Yaniv Chechik and Yuval Tal’s company which has raised a total of $90M over 8 rounds.
ZocDoc, the booking engine for appointments with doctors has raised a $130M Series D round. The round now values ZocDoc at at $1.8B which makes it the third largest venture-backed private company in NYC. The round was financed by by FOunders Fund, Baillie Gifford, and Atomico. The company founded by Nick Ganju, Oliver Kharraz, Cyrus Massoumi has now raised $227.9M across 7 rounds since its founding in 2007.
TrueFacet, the online marketplace for designer jewelry, has announced a $2.7M venture financing. The round was led by Maveron and Freestyle Capital. TrueFacet, founded by Christopher Chan and Tirath Kamdar has now raised $9.3M across 4 rounds since its founding in 2013.
ProPublica, the non-profit focused on investigative journalism has announced a $2.2M Grant from the Knight Foundation. The company has now raised $3.2M all coming from grants.
