Behalf, the alternative short term financing startup, has announced a $119M Series B round. The financing was led by MissionOG. Also participating in the round were Maverick Ventures, IsraelCapital, Victory Park Capital,Sequoia Capital, and Spark. The company has now raised $129M across 2 rounds since its founding in 2011.
Congratulations to our friends at Boldstart Ventures which has announced the closet of its latest fund. This is the third fund for the enterprise-focused venture capital firm and the size of the fund is $20M. The Boldstart portfolio includes Indiegogo, SocialRank, tapfwd, GoInstant (acquired by Salesforce), Divide (acquired by Google), and Rapportive (acquired by LinkedIn).
ShopKeep, the iPad centric point of sale solution for retailers , has announced a $60M Series D round. The round was led by Activant Capital. This additional injection of capital brings the total funding for shopkeep to $97.2M across four rounds since its founding in 2008.
Tictail, the community oriented discovery site for independent products has announced a $22M Series B. Investors in the financing include Acton Capital Partners, Thrive Capital, Balderton Capital, and Creandum. The company has raised $32.6M across 5 rounds since its founding in 2012.
Jun Group, the adtech platform focused on video and branded content has announced a $28M Series A round. The round was financed by Bridge Bank, Halyard Capital, and Western Technology Investment. The company has raised $33M since its founding in 2005.
BioLite, the socially focused alternative energy provider for rural and underdeveloped articles has announced a $5M Series B round. The round was led by Acumen. Also, participating were Clif White Road Investments, Disruptive Innovation Fund, and RRE Ventures The company also announced that Deutsche Bank and USAID-U.S. Agency for International Development provided additional debt financing and a grant respectively.
GoButler, the personal concierage app has announced an $8M Series A round. The investors in this round of finanincing include Ashton Kutcher, BoxGroup, Cherry Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, Global Founders Capital, Lakestar, Slow Ventures, and Sound Ventures
Yarly, the professional photo management platform, announced that it was acquired by Legacy Republic, a similar service focused on photo preservation. Yarly was founded in 2012 by Allison Strouse who will be joining the Legacy Republic team as an executive adviser.
