This month’s NY Enterprise Technology Meetup had some great presentations and demos, all of which demonstrated why the enterprise sector in New York is so hot – and growing. Even though it was my first NYETM in a while (and my first in 2015), and here’s why it was great to be back.

Kasisto
Described as “conversational AI for the enterprise market,” Kasisto aims to be a solution for cumbersome enterprise app UIs. It can seamlessly switch between voice, text and touch input, and presents your bank information/requests in a conversational manner – like having your own personal assistant. Users can scroll through prior questions in a card-like interface, and access the app through a floating mic button.
Metanautix
A simpler solution for analyzing big data across multiple sources, Metanautix
visualizes data and easily bridges between data silos. Utilizing a simple visual interface, users can drag-and-drop filters and modify analytics snapshots. Metanautix can also schedule regularly recurring tasks and automate user reports.
Greenhouse
Aiming to improve the recruiting and talent acquisition process, Greenhouse
streamlines and updates the job hiring process. Users can manage a dashboard of job openings with hiring plans set in advance, and communicate all points with users involved. Interviews can be laid out in a plan with clear structure, along with premade kits of sample questions. Timely reminders can prep interviewers before meeting with clients, and they can be reviewed afterwards on a clear scale.
Abacus
Billed as a means of “killing the expense report,” Abacus solves the problem of gathering receipts for expense reports. The app uses geolocation to automatically add reports in real time, and can be linked to your credit card to notify you (and your manager)of expenses. It also analyzes data and compiles it into reports for ROI, along with filters by location, person, etc. Coworkers and clients can be tagged, along with receipt photos. Companies can program their expense guidelines into the app, along with real-time violation pop ups.
