Fashion Week in New York just ended and while all – or most – eyes were on newest styles that are coming down the runway and the tech that’s powering the industry more and more, there’s another side to fashion and what makes it all work: the latest cosmetics and yes, beverages, too.
We headed over to the TechStyle Lounge earlier in the week to see what was being served up behind the scenes. In the interest of fair disclosure, our ride from Flatiron to Meatpacking was provided by GoGreenRide.

PINCH me
PINCHme launched last November and can already boast the world’s largest online community, with over a million members in the US alone and it’s not surprising: each month, they send out a box of new products and goodies from the world’s leading brands – and all for free. That’s right – there’s no monthly subscription fee. PINCHme is the best way to discover and discuss new products from the world’s leading brands, for free. All you have to do in return is tell them what you think about the products!
And considering that New Yorkers always have an opinion on absolutely everything, done!
Onli
Onli is aptly named because those skinny bottles are filled only with natural ingredients. And bubbles. The flavors were inspired by chefs, and include Huckleberry Pomegranate, Hibiscus Pomegranate, Espresso Sweet Hazelnut, and Lemon Mango Passion Fruit, Lemon Watermelon, et al. Choose your bubbly. Some are sweeter than others. All are all natural and refreshing.
Flickable
Here’s a gloss that pops. Flickable launched their lollypop shaped lip gloss line just seven months ago – and won an international design award for their packaging. The gloss is made in the USA and available in five shiny shades and flavors: Better Off Red, Do Ya Pink I’m Sexy, Citrus How We Do It, Toffee Talk and Fight For Your White to Party. We tried them. They are non-sticky. And tasty. And tres cool.
UpCouture Tees
Believe it or not, someone has rethought the tee shirt and UpCouture is where active technology meets fashion. These tees are engineered to improve one’s posture, with a built-in ‘figure 8’ resistance. All hidden in comfortable organic cotton that’s decidedly stylish and isn’t it about time that tees went upmarket?
Yes, that is actress Toni Trucks who happened to stop and by and did a bit of impromptu modeling for us as she tested the tee for herself. (Not that anyone has ever accused her of being a slouch, mind you.)
Skinny Girl
Skinny Girl has been around for a while and in case you didn’t get the memo, the products are all about healthy ingredients. The news here is that Skinny Girl has just added two new products to its adult beverage line – a Margarita, sparkling Margarita and Cherry Vodka. Yum, and as usual, lower in calories. And we’re always happy to raise a glass – to your health, of course!
