Susanne Greenfield is an Angel Investor with a great knowledge of corporate finance and private equity. She attended NYU on a merit-based scholarship and during her time, there she was on the Dean’s List every semester, which led to her receiving the Dean’s Honor Key. Greenfield graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU with a double major in Finance and Accounting. She also received CFA Level 1 certification.
Her first big job was at Merrill Lynch as an analyst working directly with CFO Ahmass Fakahany, assisting him in preparing for earnings releases, interviews and meetings. After two years with Merrill Lynch, Greenfield expanded her duties, becoming an Integral part of a group that structured and executed asset based loans, mezzanine/sub debt, and equity investments in private companies in both London and New York. Greenfield left the company in 2008 and took a job as Private Equity Associate for Corsair Capital, assisting the partners in analyzing new investments and managing existing portfolio company investments.
While at Corsair, Greenfield cofounded ToVieFor, a startup selling handbags and accessories through a unique type of sale, which allowed a member to choose the price they wanted to pay. Despite winning the Stern Business Plan Competition, raising over $200,000 in seed stage funding and becoming part of TechstarsNY’s first class, ToVieFor shutdown in 2011. Greenfield left the company prior to their joining Techstars, joining Griffon Corporation in 2010 as Director of Corporate Development, working directly with the President and COO to identify, evaluate and execute strategic partnerships and acquisitions and to set and improve the strategy and operations of Griffon’s businesses.
A member of 37Angels, Greenfield recently joined Priceline as their Director of Corporate Development, performing M&A, venture investing and strategy work for Priceline Group, which includes Booking.com, Priceline.com, Agoda.com, Kayak and Rentalcars.com.
