StartUp Health, a global startup platform accelerating innovation in health and wellness, just announced the addition of 16 new companies to its StartUp Health Academy, a long-term entrepreneurship program and community designed to help scale early-stage digital health companies. To date, 63 companies have joined StartUp Health, three of which have been acquired, and the program’s portfolio has raised a total of $130 million.
Also joining program as its first “Healthcare Transformer in Residence” is Nadeem Kassam, a member of StartUp Health’s inaugural class and the founder of BASIS Science, which was recently acquired by Intel. His focus will be helping the current companies and scouting the ecosystem for new startups.
Among the new StartUp Health companies who will become part of the close community of “Healthcare Transformers” and will participate in the three-year coaching program are these five from the New York area.
